Blagojevich
Seems to me that what Blago was caught at is just politics as usual. Corrupt, certainly but nothing unusual. His only crime was in being a little too explicit in taped conversations. Smarter politicians know how to get the same things without ever quite asking for it the way he did. Patrick Fitzgerald's shock at such crimes betrays naivete or willful blindness to the truth that all politicians behave in this manner. That said, he should be prosecuted to fullest extent of the law---Good riddance, and maybe politicians will think twice about quid pro quos, however 'legal', in the future. It is a state of affairs that renders all forms of government inherently corrupt.
